As part of the prestigious Ordsall Chord project which will eventually link Manchester’s Victoria and Piccadilly train stations, alliedaccess were tasked with providing multiple teams of operatives to erect scaffolds over the 4 day Easter break on a 24 hours per day shift pattern.
The main works involved the installation of a new bridge within a challenging time frame and in very poor weather conditions.
We are delighted to report that the project was delivered within the tight deadline, and positive comments were received by all the senior managers working within the Alliance.
Mike Haywood – Alliance Manager wrote –
This was a fantastic effort from all parties, particularly given some of the difficult weather conditions that were present in the early part of the blockade, and the challenging and unexpected issues that arose during the works.
What was really impressive was that when issues did arise, solutions were calmly but quickly identified and implemented, and there was great support across the disciplines and throughout the supply chain to help each other out
